The Summit

Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit

The first summit created entirely for South Asian women navigating midlife and menopause. One day. Real conversations. A community ready to speak.

Date: 14th of May 2027, 5 PM – 9 PM

Location: The Bridge, 73–81 Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 0NQ

For too long, South Asian women have sat at the back of the menopause conversation. The mainstream discussion has grown louder, and that matters. But louder has not meant more inclusive. Most menopause events, resources, and spaces were not designed with South Asian women in mind, not their cultural context, not the specific health risks that affect them differently, not the silence that has been inherited across generations, not the particular complexity of navigating a changing body inside a community that doesn’t yet have language for it.

The Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit exists because that is not good enough.

This is not a generic wellness conference with a diverse audience. It is a day built from the ground up, every speaker chosen, every session designed, every conversation framed, with South Asian women at the absolute centre.

Why this summit exists

South Asian women face specific and documented barriers when it comes to midlife and menopause support.

Cultural silence around the body means symptoms go unnamed and unaddressed for years. Language barriers and a lack of culturally aware practitioners mean healthcare access is harder. Specific health risk factors, higher rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis in South Asian women, intersect with the hormonal changes of menopause in ways that are rarely discussed in mainstream settings. And the emotional weight of navigating all of this while managing multigenerational family expectations, caregiving, faith, identity shifts, and a community that still largely treats this as a private matter - that weight is real, and it is significant.

This summit is a direct response to all of that.

What to expect on the day

A full day of learning, honest conversation, and community, with South Asian women’s lived experience at the heart of every session.

On the day, you can expect:

  • Expert talks from doctors, menopause specialists, therapists, and practitioners who understand the specific health needs and cultural context of South Asian women

  • Real stories from South Asian women who are navigating midlife and menopause with honesty, courage, and a refusal to stay silent

  • Cultural conversations covering the topics that mainstream events leave out: faith and fasting, family dynamics, financial independence, identity after caregiving, relationships, grief, and the quiet reinvention that midlife invites

  • Practical resources: tools, information, and connections you can take away and use

  • Community: a room full of South Asian women who are done going through this quietly, and who are ready to be part of something that changes that

This is a space to learn, to feel seen, and to leave knowing that you are not alone in this, and that midlife, when navigated with the right support and community, can be genuinely worth looking forward to.

Who is this for

This summit is for you if:

  • You are a South Asian woman in midlife, whether you are in perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause

  • You have been navigating this largely in silence and are ready for something different

  • You want clear, culturally relevant information from people who understand your specific context

  • You want to be in a room with other South Asian women who understand

  • You are a healthcare professional, practitioner, or community leader who wants to better serve South Asian women in midlife

  • You are a partner, family member, or ally who wants to offer real, informed support

Everyone is welcome. South Asian women’s experience is at the centre.
