If you’ve found your way here, something is shifting. Maybe your body feels unfamiliar. Maybe your moods are all over the place. Maybe you’re exhausted from holding everything and everyone together… and quietly wondering, but who is holding me?

You’re not being dramatic. You’re not “losing it”. You are moving through midlife and, most likely, perimenopause or menopause, and it is a lot.

The Sattva Collective exists so you don’t have to walk this part alone. We’re a UK-based Community Interest Company created to support South Asian women through the physical, emotional and cultural realities of midlife and menopause. This is a calm, non-judgemental space where you don’t have to explain your background, minimise your pain, or pretend you’re fine.

You are allowed to take up space here.

Who this is for

This space is for you if:

  • You identify as a South Asian woman, wherever you are in the world
  • You’re in your 40s, 50s or beyond, or you suspect perimenopause has arrived early
  • You’re juggling family, work, ageing parents, community expectations… and feeling stretched thin
  • You feel unseen, dismissed, or confused by what’s happening in your body and mind
  • You’re craving calm, clarity and community that understands both your culture and your season of life

Why we exist

Here’s the thing: South Asian women are often taught to be the strong ones. We keep going. We cope. We sacrifice. We don’t “make a fuss”.

But when midlife hits, the hot flushes, the joint pain, the anxiety, the brain fog, the sleep issues, the questions about who we are now, keeping quiet can become its own kind of suffering.

The Sattva Collective was born from that silence.

We are here to:

  • bring honest, culturally aware conversations about midlife and menopause into the light
  • offer grounded information that actually reflects our lived reality
  • create spaces where South Asian women feel seen, heard and held
  • remind you that this chapter can be a gateway, not just a downfall

“Sattva” speaks to clarity, harmony and inner light. For us, it’s a reminder that even in the messiness of hormones, grief, caregiving and change, there is still a centre you can return to, yourself.

How we can support you

You don’t have to overhaul your whole life to begin. Small, gentle steps count.

Through The Sattva Collective, you’ll find:

  • Community and circles: in-person and online spaces where you can show up exactly as you are, listen, share (if you want to), and feel less alone.
  • Resources and stories: articles, guides and reflections that help you understand what’s happening in your body, your mood and your relationships, without the jargon.
  • Events and gatherings: from intimate meet-ups to larger conversations and, in time, summits that centre South Asian women’s experiences of midlife and menopause.
  • Signposting and support: pointing you towards services, practitioners and organisations that understand the cultural context you’re carrying.

Everything we do is guided by three intentions: Calm. Clarity. Connection.
