For generations of South Asian women, midlife has been something to endure quietly. Bodies are changing without explanation. Identities shifting without permission. The deep, interior world of a woman in her forties and fifties folded away, undiscussed, unwitnessed, unnamed.
Good girls didn’t talk about it.
Until now.
Good Girls Don’t Talk About This. Until Now is part cultural reckoning, part community testimony, part honest guide. It weaves together my voice and lived experiences, the perspectives of experts, and the real stories of South Asian women navigating midlife and menopause, women who were never meant to carry this alone.
This is the conversation our mothers couldn’t have. This is the book our daughters will not need.
The Cover
The cover of this book holds a watercolour illustration of three generations: My late mother, my daughter Khushi, and me. It was made years ago as a way to create a photograph that could no longer exist.
It turned out it was always going to be a book cover.
Three generations. The woman who carried it quietly. The woman writing it all down. The daughter who inherits a different story.

Drawing on the voices of South Asian women across the UK and beyond, alongside expert insight and my own deeply personal essays, Good Girls Don’t Talk About This. Until Now explores:

Publication & Launch
Good Girls Don’t Talk About This. Until Now releases on the 14th May 2027, Sattva Day, the second anniversary of The Sattva Collective, and the evening of the first annual Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit at Centenary Hall, Bedford.
Copies will be available on Amazon Kindle and as a limited print run, with physical copies available at the Summit launch (if everything goes as planned).
