There are some announcements you make quietly, and there are some you can barely contain.
This is definitely the latter.
For a while now, we’ve been working behind the scenes on something very close to our hearts: the Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit, taking place on 14th May 2027.
And today, we get to share the first of the experts who will help bring that room to life.
Our keynote speakers are Sonia Shah, Sahir Ahmed-Evans, and Janisha Parmar, joined by guest panellists Dr Farah Ahmed and Dr Vikram Talaulikar.
Five brilliant voices. Five different areas of expertise. Five different perspectives on what it means to navigate midlife, menopause, health, identity, and everything that comes with this particular chapter of a woman’s life.
And that diversity of perspective is exactly what we wanted.
Because the Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit was never going to be another generic menopause event with a South Asian woman or two added to the programme.
We are building something for South Asian women, from the ground up.
For the women who have spent years wondering whether what they were experiencing was normal.
For the women whose symptoms went unnamed because nobody talked about menopause at home.
For the women navigating changing bodies alongside family expectations, caregiving, relationships, work, faith, identity, and the invisible emotional load that so often comes with midlife.
For the women who have learnt to keep going, even when something inside them is quietly asking for change.
And for the women who are simply ready to have a different conversation.
One where we can ask the questions we were never taught to ask.
One where our cultural context isn’t an afterthought.
One where evidence, lived experience, honest conversation, and community can sit in the same room.
That is what we are creating.
And these first five speakers already give you a glimpse of the breadth of that conversation.
Sonia Shah brings her expertise as a Clinical Pharmacist, British Menopause Society-trained Menopause Practitioner and Coach, with a strong focus on evidence-based menopause education and women’s wellbeing.
Sahir Ahmed-Evans, through her work in women’s health, education, and advocacy, brings both lived experience and a powerful mission to change the way we understand menopause and women’s health.
Janisha Parmar brings the world of mental fitness, nervous system regulation, energy, and the emotional realities of midlife, helping women move beyond simply surviving and towards feeling like themselves again.
And joining them on our panel, Dr Farah Ahmed, a GP and British Menopause Society Accredited Menopause Specialist, brings her passion for culturally competent and equitable menopause care.
Alongside her, Dr Vikram Talaulikar, Associate Specialist in Reproductive Medicine at UCLH and Hon. Associate Professor in Women’s Health at UCL, brings extensive expertise in women’s health and menopause.
And here’s the thing.
This is only the beginning.
There are more speakers to come. More conversations to announce. More pieces of the day are still being created.
The full programme is taking shape, and I honestly cannot wait to share it with you.
Because I have a feeling that when this room comes together on 14th May 2027, it is going to be about much more than menopause.
It will be about women finally having language for things they have carried quietly.
It will be about asking better questions.
It will be about learning from one another.
It will be about being seen.
And perhaps most importantly, it will be about remembering that midlife isn’t the end of anything.
It can be the beginning of something entirely different.
Something we actually get to design.
So, if you are a South Asian woman navigating perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause, or you simply want to be part of a conversation that puts South Asian women’s experiences at the centre, put the date in your diary:
🗓️ 14th May 2027
🕔 5 PM–9 PM
The summit is currently in development, so tickets and the full programme will be announced over the coming months.
