When The Sattva Collective CIC first began, it didn’t start in a boardroom or with a grand corporate strategy. It started as a simple, quiet idea on a bus — a moment of deep clarity that South Asian women navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause needed a space of their own. For generations, our health, changing bodies, and midlife transitions were met with cultural silence, quiet endurance, or brushed under the carpet. That spark on a bus was born out of a determination to change the narrative — to create a safe, culturally grounded haven where women could gather without judgment, speak without shame, and find true belonging.
To see that initial spark grow into a thriving global movement and now receive regional recognition is deeply moving. We are overjoyed to share that The Sattva Collective CIC has been officially shortlisted for Community Project of the Year at the 17th Annual Luton & Bedfordshire Community Awards.
Now in its 17th year, the Luton & Bedfordshire Community Awards celebrate local heroes, grassroots initiatives, and those who devote their time to making a lasting positive impact across our region. Being named a finalist in the ‘Community Project of the Year’ category is a beautiful validation of what happens when we choose to step out of the shadows, advocate for our health, and support one another through life’s major transitions.
What started as an idea on a bus has become a living, breathing community. This milestone belongs to every woman who has shared her story through My Sattva Stories, attended a workshop, read an article, or passed our work along to a friend who needed to know she wasn’t alone. You are the heartbeat of everything we do.
We look forward to dressing up for the Black Tie ceremony on Friday, 6th November 2026 at Venue Central to celebrate alongside so many inspiring community projects.
You can read more about the awards and discover all the wonderful nominees on the official Luton & Bedfordshire Community Awards website.
Thank you for walking this path with us and helping build a movement rooted in love, health, and collective empowerment.
