Hello, my Lovelies,
As this year gently comes to a close, it feels important to pause. Not to rush into reflection, not to tie everything up neatly, but simply to acknowledge what has quietly taken root over the last few months.
The Sattva Collective is still young, and yet so much has unfolded in just seven months. What started as a simple idea, that midlife deserves more honesty, more nuance, and more community, has grown into something deeply meaningful.
Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been exploring together recently.
From the blog
Our latest reflections have centred around the lived, often unspoken realities of midlife:
Money, Midlife & Menopause: The Financial Taboo No One Talks About
Food, Hormones & Heritage: Navigating Menopause Through a South Asian Lens
The Menopause Meal: Rethinking Traditional South Asian Diets for Hormonal Health
From Sarees to Sneakers: How South Asian Women Are Redefining Style in Midlife
Kitchen Remedies & Beyond: What Works (and What Doesn’t) for Menopause Symptoms
Mothering Ourselves: Healing the Caregiver Burden in Midlife
Sisterhood in Silence: How Friendship Circles Are Saving South Asian Women in Midlife
When the Body Speaks: How Menopause Unmasks Generational Trauma in South Asian Women
Beyond the Bangles: Intimacy, Pleasure & Reclaiming Desire in Midlife
... and so much more!
Each piece is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and feel less alone in what you may be carrying quietly.
New on the website
I’m also delighted to share that the Midlife by Design: Curating Your Next Chapter Podcast is now live on The Sattva Collective website.
You can listen directly here: https://www.thesattvacollective.org/podcast/
The podcast brings together lived experience, expert voices, and thoughtful conversations around midlife, menopause, identity, wellbeing, and becoming, all rooted in compassion rather than fixing.
In the spotlight
In just seven months, The Sattva Collective has been featured across a number of media platforms, something I don’t take lightly.
This visibility isn’t about recognition for its own sake. It’s about ensuring midlife conversations, particularly within South Asian and underrepresented communities, are finally being heard.
You can explore our press features here: https://www.thesattvacollective.org/press/
Every feature helps amplify voices that have too often been overlooked.
Looking ahead to January
Our monthly in-person meet-ups will be resuming in January, now moving to Saturdays so more women can attend with ease.
The venue is still being confirmed, and I’ll share details very soon.
These gatherings are intentionally simple. A space to connect, to talk, to listen, to be. No pressure. No performance. Just community.
Before we step into the new year
If you’ve been reading quietly, thank you. If you’ve shared our work, thank you. If you’ve felt seen by something we’ve written or spoken about, that’s why we’re here.
Midlife is not something to endure in silence. It’s something to move through together, with care and courage.
Wishing you a gentle close to the year and a grounded start to the next.
With love and gratitude,
Kiran x
P.S. If there’s a conversation you’d love us to hold space for in the new year, simply reply and let me know. This community grows through your voices.
