October has been a deeply moving and landmark month of consolidation, recognition, and intentional expansion for our collective. As autumn sets in, our shared commitment to dismantling quiet silences, centring South Asian women’s midlife experiences, and building spaces of genuine belonging feels more grounded than ever.
Here is a look back at everything we brought into the light together this month.
National Recognition & Community Milestones
We are humbled and overjoyed to celebrate how far our collective voice is carrying. This work was born from a desire to fill a void that lasted far too long, and seeing it recognised nationally validates every conversation we hold in this space:
South Asian Women’s Midlife & Menopause Platform of the Year 2026 – UK: The Sattva Collective CIC was officially recognised at the Women’s Health Awards 2026, hosted by Global Health & Pharma. This award belongs to every single woman in our community who reads, shares, and steps into her own truth. Read our exciting announcement →
Shortlisted for Community Project of the Year: Grassroots work matters. We are honoured to share that The Sattva Collective CIC has been shortlisted for an award at the Luton & Bedfordshire Community Awards under the Community Project of the Year category. Read more about the nomination →
Featured in Legacy Builders Magazine: Our founder, Kiran Singh, was featured in a four-page spread in the October issue of Legacy Builders magazine. In her piece, “What Do I Want To Leave Behind?”, she reflects on the shift that occurs in midlife — moving away from building for approval toward building spaces that truly matter, detailing the heart behind Midlife by Design and the vital mission of The Sattva Collective CIC. Midlife Conversations & Essential Essays
Our long-form writings continue to challenge long-standing cultural narratives and offer clear frameworks for navigating midlife on our own terms:
Menopause by Design: Reclaiming Midlife for South Asian Women: Menopause is not a signal to quieten down; it is a profound invitation to reclaim agency. We examined how cultural conditioning historically isolated women during perimenopause and menopause, and how we can intentionally design this season with clarity, dignity, and collective support. Community Opportunities, Offers & Research
Research Study: Menopause & Quality of Life for South Asian Women
We are supporting an important research project led by Waniya Ashraf, a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire. The study considers how menopause affects the quality of life for Pakistani and Bangladeshi women living in the UK, aiming to directly improve healthcare services and support in our communities. If you are a Pakistani or Bangladeshi woman aged 45–65 living in the UK and experiencing perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause, please take 15–20 minutes to complete this short, anonymous questionnaire. Your voice will help shape better, more equitable care for generations to come.
