The Sattva Collective CIC
Everything you might want to know before you take your next step.

We know that finding a new space, especially one that asks you to show up honestly, can bring up questions. Some practical, some personal. Here are the ones we hear most often.

If there’s something you don’t see answered here, you are always welcome to reach out directly at hello@thesattvacollective.org. We are a real, small team, and we do actually reply.

ABOUT THE SATTVA COLLECTIVE

What is The Sattva Collective?

The Sattva Collective CIC is the UK’s first community-led organisation dedicated to supporting South Asian women through midlife and menopause. We create culturally grounded content, host monthly community gatherings, run awareness campaigns, publish interviews, and organise an annual summit, all designed specifically for South Asian women and the particular complexity of this season of life.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we are not-for-profit and everything we generate is reinvested into the community we serve.

Who founded it?

The Sattva Collective was founded by Kiran Singh, a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, Midlife Lifestyle & Menopause Wellness Coach, podcast host, and author. Her daughter joined her as Co-Director, making this a genuinely intergenerational organisation built with legacy in mind. You can read the full story on our About page.

Is The Sattva Collective a charity?

No. We are a Community Interest Company (CIC), a not-for-profit structure set up specifically to serve the community. All income is reinvested into our programmes, events, and resources. We do not distribute profits.

Where are you based?

We are based in the UK, with monthly Sattva Women’s Circle gatherings currently held in Bedford and the surrounding area. Our digital content, Substack, and resources are accessible from anywhere in the world. We are working towards expanding our in-person gatherings to more cities. If you would like to see a circle in your area, do get in touch.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY & GATHERINGS

Who is The Sattva Collective for?

South Asian women in midlife, of all backgrounds, faiths, ages, and wherever you are in the perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause journey. Whether you are in your early forties and noticing the first shifts or well into postmenopause and navigating what comes next, this space is for you.

You don’t need to be in crisis. You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t need any particular reason beyond wanting to be somewhere that understands.

Do I have to share anything at the Sattva Women’s Circle?

Absolutely not. You can come and simply listen for as long as you need to. Many women do exactly that at their first gathering, and find that simply being in the room, hearing other women speak honestly, is enough. There is no pressure, ever, to share more than feels comfortable.

What if I’m not sure I’m experiencing perimenopause or menopause?

You don’t need a confirmed diagnosis to be here. If you are a South Asian woman in midlife who is navigating physical, emotional, or identity shifts and wondering what is happening, this space is for you. Many of the women who come to the Sattva Women’s Circle arrive uncertain. Naming and understanding what’s happening is often part of what the community helps with.

Is this only for South Asian women?

Our spaces are designed specifically for South Asian women, because the cultural context we centre is specific. Partners, family members, and allies who want to better understand and support the South Asian women in their lives are welcome to reach out; we are happy to point you towards resources that can help.

I live outside the UK. Can I still be part of the community?

Yes. Our Substack, blog, and digital content are accessible from anywhere in the world. The in-person Sattva Women’s Circle gatherings are currently UK-based, but we hope to expand our online offerings in the future. Subscribe to the Substack to stay connected wherever you are.

ABOUT THE CONTENT & RESOURCES

What kind of content do you publish?

Over 50 original articles, cultural essays, health guides, personal reflections, and interviews — all written specifically for South Asian women in midlife. Topics range from perimenopause symptoms and hormonal health to financial independence, identity, faith, relationships, grief, mental health, and the cultural silences that make midlife harder than it needs to be. Explore the blog here.

Is your content medically reviewed?

Our educational content is written with care and cultural grounding, but we are not a medical organisation. We always encourage women to seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. Our directory includes culturally aware practitioners who may be better placed to support you than a generic referral.

What is the Substack about?

Our monthly Substack newsletter is the quieter, more personal side of The Sattva Collective, cultural essays, honest reflections, resources, and voices from South Asian women in midlife. It is free to subscribe and arrives in your inbox at a pace that feels manageable. Subscribe here.

ABOUT THE SUMMIT

What is the Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit?

Our annual flagship event is a full day dedicated entirely to South Asian women’s experiences of midlife and menopause. The first summit takes place in March 2027 at The Centenary Hall, Bedford. Expect expert talks, real stories, cultural conversations, and a community of women who are done navigating this quietly. Find out more and join the waitlist here.

How do I find out about upcoming dates and events?

The best way is to join our WhatsApp community and subscribe to our Substack — both are where we share dates, announcements, and updates first.

GETTING INVOLVED & SUPPORTING THE WORK

How can I support The Sattva Collective?

In whatever way feels right for you, donating, volunteering your skills, sharing our content, attending a gathering, or simply subscribing to the Substack. Every single one of those things matters to a small, community-led organisation. Visit our Get Involved page for the full picture.

Can I donate?

Yes, and we are genuinely grateful for every contribution. Donations go directly toward sustaining and expanding our programmes, keeping our resources free and accessible, and funding events such as the Sattva Women’s Circle and the annual summit. Donate via our crowdfunding page here.

Can I sponsor or fund an event?

Absolutely. We are actively seeking sponsors and funders for our programmes and the Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause Summit in March 2027. If your organisation wants to stand behind something that matters to a significantly underserved community, we would love to have that conversation. Email us at hello@thesattvacollective.org.

Can I contribute to the blog or be interviewed?

Yes — we are always looking for South Asian women with stories, expertise, or perspectives that would resonate with our community. Get in touch at hello@thesattvacollective.org and tell us a little about what you’d like to share.

Do you work with partners and collaborators?

Yes. We work with healthcare providers, community organisations, workplaces, faith groups, and aligned brands. If you would like to explore collaboration, visit our Get Involved page or get in touch directly.
