Supporting South Asian women through midlife and menopause with clarity, care, and community.
The Sattva Collective was built on one belief: that South Asian women navigating midlife and menopause deserve more than silence, more than generic advice, and more than spaces that weren’t built with them in mind.
Everything we do flows from that. From the articles we publish to the rooms we gather in — the cultural context is never an afterthought. It is the whole point.
Here is how we show up for the community.
COMMUNITY GATHERINGS: THE SATTVA WOMEN’S CIRCLE
Every month, we bring South Asian women together in person for an intimate, unhurried gathering, a space to exhale, speak honestly, and be among women who understand the specific terrain of this season of life.
There is no agenda to perform. No pressure to have it figured out. Just real conversation, warm company, and the particular relief that comes from being in a room where you don’t have to translate your experience.
Topics shift with the community’s needs, from hormones and health to identity, relationships, grief, and what comes next. What stays constant is the tone: honest, grounded, and held with care.
EDUCATIONAL CONTENT: THE BLOG
Over 90 original articles, cultural essays, health guides, interviews and personal reflections, all written specifically for South Asian women in midlife.
We cover topics that mainstream menopause platforms rarely touch on. What perimenopause looks like when you’re also fasting for Ramadan. The financial silence inside South Asian marriages and what it costs women in midlife. What does it mean to live alone and live fully when the cultural script says that’s not the life you should want? Grief that doesn’t have a name. Identity after decades of caregiving. The intersection of faith, culture, and changing bodies.
No jargon. No generic advice. Always culturally grounded.
INTERVIEWS: SOUTH ASIAN WOMEN SPEAKING HONESTLY
Some of the most powerful work we do is simply giving extraordinary South Asian women a microphone and asking the questions that don’t usually get asked.
Our interview series has featured Mani Kohli MBE, psychotherapist and couples therapist Shireen Noor, mindset coach Sadia Hameed, and Parita Kuttappan of Awarify Coaching, each conversation exploring the emotional, cultural, and practical reality of midlife from a perspective that is rarely platformed.
These are not polished profiles. They are real, nuanced conversations about identity, reinvention, healing, and what it means to build a life that actually fits who you are becoming.
AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
Throughout the year, we mark the health moments that matter most to South Asian women and make sure the conversation is culturally specific, not culturally generic.
We have run campaigns for Menopause Awareness Month, World Menopause Day, Blue Monday, Endometriosis Action Month, Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and Heart Month, each time asking: What does this mean for South Asian women specifically? What are the particular risks, barriers, and cultural silences that need naming?
Because awareness without cultural context serves everyone in theory and no one in practice.
THE SATTVA LIBRARY: FINDING SUPPORT THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU
Finding a practitioner or organisation that truly understands your cultural background should not be hard. The Sattva Library is a growing, curated resource of practitioners, support organisations, and services that work with or are led by people who understand the South Asian context.
Whether you are looking for a therapist, a menopause specialist, a coach, or a community organisation, this is a starting point built with your specific needs in mind.
THE ANNUAL SUMMIT: THRIVE THROUGH MIDLIFE & MENOPAUSE
Once a year, we gather women, experts, and allies for our flagship event: Thrive Through Midlife & Menopause.
Our first summit takes place on the 14th of May 2027, 5 pm-9 pm at The Bridge, 73–81 Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 0NQ, an evening designed entirely around South Asian women’s experiences of midlife and menopause.
Expect expert talks from practitioners who understand the cultural gaps. Real stories from South Asian women who are navigating this season with honesty and courage. Conversations covering health, identity, faith, relationships, finances, and what it means to redefine this chapter of life on your own terms. And a community of women who are ready to stop going through it quietly.
This is not a generic wellness conference. It is a statement that South Asian women deserve clear information, culturally grounded care, and spaces built entirely with them in mind.
JOIN THE COMMUNITY
Our monthly Substack newsletter is where we go deeper. Cultural essays. Reflections on what midlife is actually asking of us. Resources for navigating the season with more clarity and less isolation. Voices from South Asian women who are choosing to speak rather than stay silent.
It is the quieter, more intimate side of the collective, arriving in your inbox when you’re ready for it, at a pace that feels manageable.
PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS
We work with healthcare providers, community organisations, workplaces, faith groups, and aligned brands to bring culturally aware midlife and menopause conversations into spaces where they’ve been missing.
If you’re an organisation that wants to do better for South Asian women in your community, or a practitioner who wants to be part of this work, we would love to hear from you.
